Boiler
3 codesALL02 T3 group heating timeout
One group's micro-boiler failed to reach its setpoint inside the warm-up window, so the firmware cut power to that element. The other groups usually carry on normally.
Likely causes
- Group boiler heavily scaled
- Heating element electrically degraded
- Solid-state relay failed open
- T3 calibration reset by a firmware update without recommissioning
Try this first
- Note which group number is flagged
- Confirm the other groups heat normally
This one doesn't clear itself. We test element resistance and the relay, then recalibrate T3 through the service menu once the cause is fixed.
ALL03 Steam boiler heating timeout
The steam boiler didn't reach target pressure in the time the controller allows, so it cut power to the steam element. The brew groups may still work, but steam is down.
Likely causes
- Heating element scaled
- Element electrically degraded
- Solid-state relay failed open
- Pressure stat drifted out of spec
Try this first
- Watch the boiler gauge from a cold start
- Power-cycle once
If pressure still won't build, call us. The element and relay get tested, the circuit descaled, and the pressure stat replaced if it has drifted.
ALL05 Steam over-pressure / safety trip
The steam boiler went past its safety threshold, or the safety pressure switch believes it did, and power to the element was cut. Treat it as real until proven otherwise.
Likely causes
- Pressure stat welded closed
- Stat drifted high
- Solid-state relay welded on
- Capillary tube scaled
Try this first
- Shut the machine down at the switch
- Do not restart if the gauge reads above the safe range
Call immediately rather than restarting around it. We replace the failed stat or relay and verify the entire safety circuit before the boiler heats again.
Group head
1 codeALL09 Pre-infusion solenoid fault
The controller commanded the pre-infusion solenoid and didn't see the expected response, so pre-infusion is bypassed and shots run at full pressure from the first second. Espresso gets noticeably harsher.
Likely causes
- Solenoid coil burnt out
- Solenoid mechanically stuck
- Coil wire broken at the strain relief
- Controller output driver failed
Try this first
- Listen for the solenoid click at shot start
- Compare against a known-good group
If the click is missing, the solenoid or its wiring has failed. We swap the coil or the full solenoid and verify the pressure curve afterwards.
Steam
1 codeALL10 Auto-foamer / milk pathway fault
On machines with an auto-foamer or auto-milk module, the milk pathway isn't delivering the foam quality or temperature the system expects, and the feedback channel has flagged it.
Likely causes
- Milk residue in the air-intake line
- Air-intake check valve seized
- Milk-stone in the steam venturi
- Worn O-rings on the auto-foamer module
Try this first
- Run the daily milk clean cycle
- Inspect the air-intake fitting
If a proper clean cycle doesn't bring the foam back, the module needs a strip-down. We sanitize the full pathway, fit an O-ring kit, and verify foam quality before leaving.
Pump
2 codesALL06 Flow meter / dose timeout
The controller expected flow meter pulses during a volumetric shot and saw none, so it aborted the shot. Until it's resolved, programmed doses can't be trusted.
Likely causes
- Flow meter impeller coated with mineral deposit
- Flow meter wiring unseated
- Gicleur blocked on the affected group
- Pump not running
- Inlet water shut off
Try this first
- Listen for the pump engaging on a shot
- Try each group to isolate which one times out
If one group keeps timing out, call. We clean the flow meter, reprogram the doses by weight, and replace the meter if the counts stay erratic.
ALL12 Pump pressure low / OPV drift
Brew pressure feedback is sitting below the expected window on every group. Shots may still complete, but extraction goes inconsistent and usually tastes thin.
Likely causes
- Rotary pump worn
- OPV drifted away from 9 bar
- Inlet pressure low from an undersized RO system
- Pump capacitor degraded
Try this first
- Check the boiler gauge during a blank shot
- Confirm inlet pressure at the regulator
If inlet pressure is fine and brew pressure still reads low, call. We reset the OPV against a portafilter gauge and replace the pump if it can't hold spec.
Electronics
2 codesALL11 Touchscreen / display communication fault
The touchscreen has lost communication with the main controller, or the touch layer has stopped responding. The brew side may still work from manual overrides while the screen is down.
Likely causes
- Ribbon cable unseated
- Firmware hang after an update
- Failed display digitizer
- Power supply to the display out of spec
Try this first
- Hard power-cycle at the breaker
- Check whether the machine still pours from manual overrides
If the screen stays dark or deaf after a hard reset, call. We reflash to a stable build or replace the display module, whichever the diagnosis supports.
ALL13 Lighted button bank fault
One or more dose buttons on a group have stopped registering presses or lighting up. The rest of the machine keeps working; it's an annoyance that grows.
Likely causes
- Microswitch contacts corroded by steam migration
- Failed LED
- Ribbon to the controller unseated
- Water intrusion behind the front panel
Try this first
- Test every button on the affected group
- Avoid wet-wiping the panel until it's been inspected
Book it for the next convenient visit. We service the full button bank with the panel off, so it's done once instead of button by button.
Water
2 codesALL04 Autofill timeout
The autofill solenoid ran longer than the allowed window without the level probe ever reading full, so the controller shut the fill circuit down. It's protecting you from a flood or a dry boiler.
Likely causes
- Water supply closed or restricted
- Softener cartridge near end of life
- Autofill solenoid stuck closed
- Level probe scaled
- Internal leak
Try this first
- Verify the water supply is open
- Look inside the chassis for visible leaks
If the supply checks out and the fault repeats, call. We descale the probe, test the solenoid, and dye-trace any suspected leak.
Maintenance Service interval / descale reminder
A service counter has elapsed. Nothing has failed; the machine keeps brewing and is asking for scheduled attention.
Likely causes
- Litres-dispensed counter elapsed
- Time-based counter elapsed
- Water filter cartridge counter expired
Try this first
- Check whether the reminder is for the filter, the softener, or a descale
- Don't clear the reminder without doing the service behind it
Schedule a maintenance visit at the next sensible gap in service. The counter gets reset as part of the close-out, not before.
Sensors
3 codesALL01 T3 boiler probe fault
On T3 multi-boiler platforms like the Black Eagle and White Eagle T3 Digit, the controller has lost a valid reading from one of the boiler temperature sensors. It cuts power to that boiler's element as a precaution, so the affected circuit stops heating.
Likely causes
- Failed NTC sensor
- Connector unseated at the controller
- Sensor lead damaged at a chassis pinch point
- Steam migration into the connector housing
Try this first
- Power-cycle the machine at the breaker
- Note which boiler is flagged (brew, steam, or group number)
If the fault returns after a power cycle, the sensor or its wiring needs proper testing. We check resistance against the reference table and swap the failed sensor.
ALL07 Gravitech load cell fault (Black Eagle Gravitech / Maverick)
The Gravitech load cells under the cup platform are reporting values the controller can't reconcile with a real cup, so gravimetric dosing shuts off and the machine falls back to volumetric mode. Shots keep pouring, but by volume, not weight.
Likely causes
- Drip tray not seated squarely
- Vibration source under the bar (fridge compressor, loose chassis)
- Load cell drifted
- Load cell mechanically damaged
- Cup overhanging the edge of the platform
Try this first
- Reseat the drip tray squarely
- Confirm the machine is level
- Check for vibration sources nearby
If gravimetric mode won't come back after that, call. We calibrate the cells against reference weights and replace any cell that keeps drifting.
ALL08 NEO recovery sensor fault (Eagle One)
NEO (Neuromorphic Engine Optimization) is the Eagle One's heat-recovery and power-management system. A sensor in the recovery loop is reading out of range, so NEO has dropped to standard mode: the machine still brews, it just stops saving energy.
Likely causes
- Recovery-loop sensor failed
- Connector unseated after a service
- Recovery loop blocked
- Controller relay in the NEO circuit failed
Try this first
- Power-cycle the machine
- Carry on serving; NEO is power management, not brew-critical
