How our pricing works
The diagnostic visit is the travel charge plus the first hour of labour. If you approve the repair, the diagnosis becomes the first hour of the job, not a separate fee. Parts are quoted before anything gets installed.

What moves the number
The hourly rate never changes. What changes is the hours and the parts bill, and three things drive both.
A brew unit for a current platform is a stocked, competitively priced part. The same unit for a discontinued machine can cost double, if it can be sourced at all. This is the single biggest swing factor.
Same inlet solenoid, two machines: about $60 and already on the truck for a current platform, $140 and a ten-day wait for one discontinued years ago. The labour is nearly identical. The part is the whole difference.
Some machines open up in minutes. Others need half the chassis removed to reach a $40 valve. Same part, very different labour bill. We tell you the expected hours on the quote.
An element swap on a batch brewer is usually under an hour: two panels, two wires. The same swap on a sealed-chassis super-automatic can run 2.5 hours, because most of the machine has to come apart before the boiler is even visible.
On older machines, one worn part usually has worn neighbours, so jobs compound. And a 4-group boiler is simply a bigger, costlier component than its 1-group equivalent.
A pump call on a machine pushing ten years often grows: the pump is $350, but the hoses around it have hardened and the check valve is tired, so it leaves as a $600 job. On a three-year-old machine the same call usually stops at the pump.

Yes. Parts are quoted before installation at supplier price plus a standard margin. We use genuine OEM parts where reliability depends on it, and tell you when a quality compatible part will save you money without a downside.
Same-day emergency dispatch adds a $95 surcharge on top of normal rates. If your machine is down mid-service, say so when you call and we will tell you honestly whether a technician can reach you today.
Our rule of thumb is half: when a repair quote passes roughly 50 percent of the cost of a comparable replacement and the machine is aging, we recommend replacement and say so on-site. Most repairs fall well under that line.
These are one-off, per-visit rates. Account agreements include guaranteed response windows, priority dispatch, scheduled preventive maintenance, parts stocked for your fleet, and consolidated billing, so they are priced per agreement rather than per visit.

No. Every rate on this page is no-contract. Agreements exist for fleets that want guaranteed response times, not as a requirement for getting service.
A ballpark, yes. Describe the brand, model, and fault, and we can usually tell you what that job typically runs before anyone is dispatched. The firm number comes after on-site diagnosis, and that is the number that ends up on the invoice.
Most single-fault repairs take one to two hours on-site. If a part has to be ordered, count on a few business days for delivery and a short return visit to fit it. We tell you which case you are in at diagnosis.
Our labour rate is the same for every brand. What changes is parts pricing and access: a stocked part for a current Jura or Franke platform costs less than a scarce one for a discontinued machine, and some machines take longer to open up. That is why identical faults can land at different totals.
We say so, on-site, and you pay only for the diagnostic visit. You get a realistic read on remaining lifespan and what a sensible replacement looks like, and if you want, we handle the installation of whatever you choose.
Usually, yes. A worn gasket caught on a scheduled visit is a small line item. The same gasket failing mid-rush means an emergency call, possible water damage, and lost service. If your machine runs hard every day, scheduled maintenance is the cheaper way to own it.
