For specialty cafes, restaurants, and roasters
A La Marzocco Linea PB drifts half a bar off pressure and the espresso quality your roastery built its name on starts walking out the door. Cafe espresso machines aren't appliances; they're the heart of your service. We work on La Marzoccos, Synessos, Slayers, and the rest of the traditional platforms constantly. Boiler calibration, group seal wear, PID dial-in, brew temperature profiling. That repetition is what produces good repairs.
Why Grajqevci
Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out. Most espresso machines jobs get diagnosed and fixed on the first visit.
Commercial coffee equipment is all we do, and espresso machines is part of the weekly rotation. Not a generalist guessing at a service manual. Genuine OEM parts, industry-standard procedures.
Flat rate for the visit, with parts billed separately. For bigger jobs you'll see a written quote on-site before we proceed.
How our repair works
One technician, one number, one invoice. We carry truck stock for the common wear items, so most faults get resolved on the first visit instead of waiting on a second trip.
What we actually fix on cafe espresso machines
Espresso platforms wear in patterns. Boiler scaling, group gaskets, pressostats, solenoids, PID drift, gicleurs, steam wand check valves, grinder burr wear. Every fault below is a regular service call on our cafe and roaster routes.

Usually. Downtown Toronto cafe calls placed before noon typically get a technician the same afternoon. Outer GTA depends on the day's route, but morning-of calls into Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, and Brampton usually land same-day too. And if we can't make it, you'll know within 20 minutes, not after a day on hold.
La Marzocco (Linea PB, Linea Mini, Linea Classic, Strada, KB90), Synesso (S-Series, MVP, Cyncra), Slayer (Steam EP, V3, Espresso), Nuova Simonelli (Aurelia Wave, Appia Life), Rancilio (Specialty, Class), Faema (E61, E71, Smart), La Cimbali (M100, S30), Victoria Arduino (Eagle One, Black Eagle), plus 14 more boutique and Italian traditional brands. Click any brand below for service detail.
No. We're an independent espresso specialist, and that's the point. Operators call us for a second opinion before authorized service walks them into a new $25k machine. It also means we work on Linea Classics, older Synessos, and lever machines the authorized networks stopped supporting years ago.
Flat rate for the visit, parts billed separately. Smaller jobs get invoiced after the work. Bigger jobs (group rebuild, boiler replacement, controller board swap) get a written quote on-site before any major work proceeds. No diagnostic-only fees, no surprise add-ons.
Group head gaskets and shower screens for all the major platforms, brewhead solenoid rebuild kits, steam valve cartridges, common pressostats, pre-infusion springs, gicleurs in the popular sizes, pump rebuild kits (Procon, Fluid-O-Tech), portafilter spouts and naked baskets. Less common parts arrive in 24 to 48 hours via the distributor network.
Fix, 90% of the time. New gaskets, shower screen, dispersion screen, and a torque check on the group screws, usually $80 to $140 in parts plus the visit. We only recommend group replacement when the brass shows hot-corrosion damage or the casting itself is cracked, and that's rare on a La Marzocco kept on a sane service schedule.
Yes. PID temperature offset (group temp versus water temp at the puck), pressure profile programming on Slayer EP and Strada EP, pre-infusion timing on La Marzocco GS and Synesso MVP, group temperature verification on Synesso flat-plate boilers. That tooling comes out on every espresso-platform call.
Often both. We diagnose the machine first (boiler temp drift, pressure decay, grinder dose drift, exhausted water filtration), then walk through dose, yield, and time with whoever is on bar. If the machine is in spec and the bar fundamentals are dialed in, the problem is usually beans, grind, or technique, and we'll say that clearly.
Most cafe repairs land between $250 and $600 in parts plus the visit. That covers about 80% of what we see: group seals, gicleurs, pressostats, solenoid valves, brewhead service, grinder burr replacement. Boiler rebuilds, pump replacements, and controller swaps run higher, with the written quote in front of you first.
Yes. Mavam, La Marzocco Pico, and TopBrewer-style undercounter systems are in scope. Mechanically they're the same espresso platforms, just packaged under the counter with remote group heads. Servicing means pulling more panels, but the diagnostic and repair work is the same.
Yes. Vintage and discontinued Italian traditional machines other shops won't quote are regular work for us. Parts come from refurbisher networks, salvage from decommissioned units, or specialty Italian importers. When a repair stops being economical, we say so honestly.
When the boiler shell is past repair, when controller boards can no longer be sourced, or when the cumulative cost of two upcoming repairs exceeds 50% of a refurbished replacement. For a healthy La Marzocco or Synesso under 10 years old, the rebuild almost always wins.
Independent service can affect manufacturer warranty, depending on the manufacturer's terms. For a covered defect, contact the authorized network first. If they're slow or decline, or you've aged out of warranty, call us and we'll service it on standard terms.
Yes, on a priority basis. Saturday and Sunday morning emergencies (no espresso 30 minutes before the brunch rush) carry a modest off-hours rate, quoted upfront. Cafes are exactly who this exists for.
One dispatch number and one point of contact who knows your fleet. Scheduled preventive maintenance runs in your slowest hours, emergency dispatch jumps the queue when something breaks mid-service, and invoicing consolidates to a single monthly statement across every site. Most multi-bar operators settle into this within the first 90 days.
Burrs wear, ambient humidity changes, and bean retention in the dosing chamber all cause slow drift. A grinder service visit (burr inspection, motor brush check, dose calibration, hopper deep clean) usually holds it for another 12 to 18 months, depending on volume.
Yes. Water profile is the single biggest determinant of espresso machine longevity. We test on-site, spec the right filtration (carbon block plus softening for most GTA municipal water, RO for high-hardness Vaughan and Markham), install it, and service the cartridges on the maintenance schedule.
Yes. The technician walks your bar team through what was fixed, what to watch for, the daily cleaning routine, and the failure signs that mean call us early. Refresher training is on the table every time we come out.
Call us. If it's clearly related to what we just did, we come back and re-diagnose without charging another visit. Terms vary by repair scope, so we set them upfront on each job rather than promising a one-size-fits-all policy.
Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, and the wider Greater Toronto Area. Specialty cafe density is highest in downtown Toronto, Leslieville, Junction, Roncesvalles, and East York, but we route into all GTA municipalities regularly. Outside the standard rotation? Call with your postal code.
Why call a specialist
Day to day, that platform knowledge is the difference between a machine that's fixed and one that's merely running again. We measure brew pressure and temperature at the group, dial the grinder to your beans, and rebuild the worn part rather than mask the symptom, so the espresso holds shot after shot.
Independent service means cafe operators can call us for a second opinion before authorized service walks them into a new machine. We've talked plenty of operators out of replacement and back into a brew unit rebuild that saved thousands. The repair tells the truth, not the sales quota.
