Volume-matched maintenance schedule
Up to 50 shots per day runs every 6 months. 50 to 150 shots per day runs every 3 to 4 months. 150+ shots per day or 24-hour operations run monthly preventive visits. Backflushing schedule audit on every visit.
Cafe espresso maintenance
A cafe La Marzocco at 400+ shots a day doesn't wear like a low-volume office unit. We size maintenance to actual daily shot counts: monthly for high-traffic specialty cafes, every 2 to 3 months for steady restaurants, twice a year for boutique operators. Brew unit overhaul, group gasket replacement, boiler descale, PID re-calibration, grinder burr check, water filter swap.

Tuned to your shot count, not a calendar
Boilers scale. Gaskets harden. Solenoid seats erode. PID drift creeps. Burrs dull and your dose changes without anyone noticing, until the shot quality starts showing up in reviews. We catch the slow decay before it becomes a dial-in disaster and the repair bill that follows.
Why Grajqevci
Scheduled visits tuned to how hard your espresso machines works, booked in advance so service lands before problems do. A busier machine gets seen more often; a lighter one less.
Commercial coffee equipment is all we do, and espresso machines is part of the weekly rotation. Not a generalist guessing at a service manual. Genuine OEM parts, industry-standard procedures.
Flat rate for the visit, with parts billed separately. For bigger jobs you'll see a written quote on-site before we proceed.
How our maintenance works
We size the cadence to your actual daily cups, not a generic calendar, and leave a record of what was serviced and what to watch next. No lock-in contracts.
Cafe & restaurant maintenance scope
Tuned to your shot count and milk volume, not a generic calendar. Every visit ends with a written report covering what was serviced, what we noticed, and what to monitor before the next visit. Baristas get a copy.
Up to 50 shots per day runs every 6 months. 50 to 150 shots per day runs every 3 to 4 months. 150+ shots per day or 24-hour operations run monthly preventive visits. Backflushing schedule audit on every visit.
Group head gasket replaced (6 to 12 month interval depending on volume), shower screen replaced, sprayhead cleaned. Brew temperature confirmed at the group, not just the boiler.
Full descaling cycle, heating element inspection, PID temperature offset re-calibration. Pressure stat tested and replaced if drift exceeds spec.
Steam valve cartridge inspected and replaced if leaking past, wand and tip cleaned, milk system sanitized end to end. Steam pressure verified at the wand tip.
Pump pressure tested at the group with a portafilter gauge, OPV adjusted to target (typically 9 bar at the group), flow restrictors cleaned. Pressure profile re-verified on profiling machines.
Burr gap measured, dose weighed for shot-to-shot consistency, burrs replaced when wear exceeds spec, hopper and chute cleaned, motor current draw verified.

Updated July 2026
It follows shot count, not the calendar. Under 50 shots a day: every 6 months. From 50 to 150: every 3 to 4 months. From 150 to 300: every 2 months. At 300+ shots or 24-hour operation: monthly preventive visits. Hard water (Vaughan and Markham especially) shortens all of those intervals regardless.
Group head gasket and shower screen service on every group, a brewhead solenoid check, full boiler descale (single or dual depending on platform), PID temperature offset re-verified at the puck, a pressure profile sanity check, steam valve cartridge service, milk system deep clean, grinder burr inspection with replacement if drift exceeds tolerance, a water filtration check, and a written report.
No, and we'll be honest about that. Daily backflushing with detergent is the single most important task your barista team does. Coffee oils and residue build into the brewhead solenoid and group hardware between our visits, and a quarterly service can't undo months of skipped cleans. We audit the backflushing routine every visit and deep-clean where it's been skipped, but daily is non-negotiable.
No. We offer scheduled maintenance because cafes that use it get 8 to 12 years out of a La Marzocco instead of 4 to 6, but it isn't required. Call us only when something breaks, or set up a recurring schedule. Either way, no long-term lock-in.
For a typical 2-group cafe, $250 to $450 per visit covers labour and most consumables (group gaskets, shower screens, common O-rings). Boiler descale chemicals, water filter cartridges, and any major parts (pump rebuild, group rebuild) are billed separately and quoted at the visit. Multi-machine roasteries and cafe groups get reduced per-visit rates.
The group comes off the machine. Gaskets, shower screen, dispersion screen, and pre-infusion springs (where applicable) get replaced, the casting gets inspected for hot-corrosion damage, then everything is retorqued to spec and tested under pressure. Cadence: every 12 to 18 months in a high-volume cafe, every 18 to 24 in a steady restaurant.
Yes. Pre-open visits (5 to 7 AM most days), post-close visits (after 9 PM for late-night cafes), and weekend mornings before brunch service are all standard. Off-hours scheduling carries a small premium, quoted upfront. Most cafes find it well worth the zero-downtime trade.
Remedial deep-clean visit first: full group rebuild, complete descale cycle, steam valve overhaul, milk system rebuild, burr replacement if needed, water filtration reset. All of it quoted upfront after a diagnostic visit. Then we set a going-forward maintenance schedule tuned to your volume.
Yes, tied to cumulative volume since the last change rather than calendar time. A BWT Bestmax Premium typically runs 6,000 to 12,000 litres depending on hardness. We test your water on every visit and adjust the cartridge spec if the profile has shifted.
Yes. Every visit is documented: what was serviced, which parts were replaced, observations for next visit, and what your barista team should watch for in between. Useful for health-board inspections, and for handing off context when bar managers change.
Most cafe machines are out of manufacturer warranty by the time scheduled maintenance is in scope. If yours is still under warranty for a defect, contact the manufacturer's authorized network first. For everything else (routine wear, scale management, group service), independent maintenance is the standard path.
Yes. Multi-bar cafe groups, roasteries with sample labs and demo machines, hotel F&B programs with espresso bars in the restaurant and the lobby. Coordinated scheduling, a single point of contact, consolidated monthly invoicing. We carry your fleet's history across visits, so the next technician never starts from zero.
With a daily cleaning audit on every visit. We walk new bar staff through the backflushing routine, milk wand cleaning, steam tip swaps, the daily group inspection, and the early signals (longer pre-infusion, sour shots, weak steam pressure) that mean call us before this becomes downtime.
Maintenance is scheduled, preventive, and at your operational convenience. Emergency repair is unscheduled and moves at the speed your service window demands. Cafes on a maintenance schedule call us for emergencies maybe once a year, usually for something no schedule could have predicted.
Yes, it's common: operators inheriting machines from a previous tenant, sale-of-business handoffs, second locations where the equipment came with the lease. Diagnostic first, then a one-visit remedial scope, then optional scheduled maintenance going forward.
No. We're independent cafe espresso specialists, and that's exactly why operators trust the maintenance call. There's no manufacturer pricing book to protect and no service quota to hit, so when a part doesn't need replacing yet, we say so.
Yes. End-of-season deep clean and winterize (drain boilers, pull groups, store with desiccant), then start-of-season re-commissioning and dial-in. Common for seasonal patio cafes, summer-only hotel pools, and waterfront venues.
On platforms that have firmware (La Marzocco GS3 with KB90 controller, Slayer EP, Strada EP, Mavam), yes. We check the current revision and update when a stable release is out. Mechanical platforms (Synesso S-Series, Faema E61, lever machines) have no firmware layer to manage.
Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, and the wider Greater Toronto Area. Specialty cafe density is highest in downtown Toronto, Leslieville, Junction, the Yonge corridor, North York, Vaughan, and Markham. Outer GTA cafes (Burlington, Hamilton, Whitby) sit on a scheduled route every 2 to 4 weeks.
Why call a specialist
A well-maintained cafe espresso machine produces consistent shots for a decade and beyond. Without preventive maintenance, shot quality drifts for months before the failure arrives, and the cost of recovering both the shot and customer trust outpaces the maintenance you skipped.
Volume-matched cafe maintenance protects shot consistency, milk steam quality, and equipment lifespan in equal measure. We plan around your service calendar: early-morning visits before doors open, weekday off-hours for hotel cafes, off-season deep cleans for seasonal venues.
