Error code reference
If the screen on your Bellucci is showing a code, this page is the translation. The Bistro, Bistro Pro, Caffè Bar, Caffè Bar Plus, and Twin Plus automatics report most faults as codes covering the brew unit, grinder, milk system, boilers, cleaning, touchscreen, and sensors. The Artista PRO behaves like a traditional espresso machine and shows many failures as symptoms instead, so we've listed those the same way.

About these codes. Compiled from Bellucci dealer support, OEM service documentation cross-referenced through the data plate, and our own service log. The OEM behind any given Bellucci machine varies by generation, so the exact code mapping should be confirmed against that unit's documentation. If what your machine shows doesn't match this list, call us. Updated July 2026
The boiler didn't reach its setpoint inside the allowed heat-up window. The smaller super-automatic boilers scale up fast, so skipped descaling brings this code on early.
If a current descale and a power cycle don't clear it, the element or its relay needs testing, and that's meter work. Book a visit.
On the Bistro and Bistro Pro, the brew unit isn't reaching its home position, or the position sensor isn't registering its travel during the cycle. The machine stops the cycle to protect the drive.
If the fault survives a power cycle and a visual clean, the unit needs to come out for proper service. Bistro brew units share architecture with several Saeco-derived platforms, so we cross-reference part numbers before ordering anything. Call us rather than forcing it.
A symptom rather than a code: brew pressure isn't reaching 9 bar at the group, and shots run weak or fast.
Diagnosis splits on pump type: the smaller traditionals run vibration pumps, the bigger platforms rotary, and the parts aren't interchangeable. We confirm which you have and measure at the group before ordering anything.
The machine sees no water arriving at the inlet, or the tank-empty sensor is active. Everything stops until water flow is proven.
If the shutoff is open and the tank is seated but the code stays, the inlet solenoid or level sensor needs testing, and the inlet strainer likely wants a descale. Leave the power off and call us; running the pump dry shortens its life.
On the traditional machines the boiler level drops and the pump runs continuously without refilling it. On the automatics, fill faults usually surface through the controller or the service menu instead.
A boiler that won't refill needs the probe, solenoid, and relay tested in order, and most Bellucci traditional boards carry a socketed autofill relay that swaps easily once identified. Power down and call; a pump running dry is the expensive version of this fault.
On the Artista PRO there's often no code at all; the symptom is steam pressure that won't hold or heating that cycles erratically. The Caffè Bar, Caffè Bar Plus, and Twin Plus automatics report the same root problems as boiler, temperature, or sensor faults instead.
A hissing safety valve or pressure that sags mid-service means the pressurestat needs testing and likely replacing. Bellucci sources these through the OEM upstream, so identifying the maker is part of the visit; we bring the cross-reference.
The boiler's temperature probe is reading outside its valid range, so the machine locks out heating to protect itself. Bellucci's OEM upstreams use different NTC curves, which is why the right replacement depends on identifying the maker.
A probe in this state needs testing and replacement, and the NTC curve isn't universal across Bellucci generations. Identifying the OEM upstream before swapping the part is part of our visit.
During a milk drink, the Bistro Pro's milk pump or milk-temperature sensor isn't responding the way the controller expects, so the drink stops.
If the daily clean is genuinely up to date and the code still appears, the milk side needs a strip-down: sanitizing, new O-rings, and an intake spring if compression is gone. That's a service visit, and we'll go over the daily clean with your team while we're there.
The grinder didn't deliver its expected dose within the time window, or its motor pulled overcurrent and shut down.
A grinder that times out with a clear hopper has burr wear or a motor fault, and both need the grinder opened up. Stop using it if the motor sounds laboured and book a visit.
The drip tray or waste-puck sensor is active. Half the time it's a false trigger from sticky residue rather than a genuinely full container.
If the tray and sensor area are clean and reseated and the prompt still won't clear, the sensor itself has failed and needs replacing. Quick fix on a service visit.
The Bistro or Bistro Pro maintenance counter has hit its threshold for shots, descale hours, or the milk-clean interval. It's a reminder, not an active fault.
Book the work the counter is asking for, and don't just clear it; skipped intervals are how heating faults and milk problems start. One maintenance visit resets everything properly.
A symptom rather than a code: the Bellucci milk fridge or chiller isn't holding 4°C, or the condenser fan and compressor are cycling irregularly.
Most of these calls end with a condenser vacuum and a thermostat check, not a new compressor. If the unit still can't hold 4°C after the coils are clean, book a visit and we'll test the thermostat and compressor properly.

Every documented Bellucci fault we see is listed above, with its meaning, common causes, and what to try before calling a technician. If the code on your machine isn't on this page, call us with the exact display string and we'll work it out by phone.
Sometimes. Many Bellucci codes clear after a power cycle, a completed descale, or a counter reset through the service menu. Codes tied to a hardware fault (failed sensor, blown element, board issue) will return immediately and need a technician. Each code above lists what's safe to try first.
A code that returns after a power cycle is signalling a real fault, not a glitch. The underlying part (sensor, heating element, valve, motor, board) needs replacement. Repeat codes are diagnostic gold for us, so call with the exact code and any timing or symptom pattern you've noticed.
Bellucci updates fault tables across firmware revisions and model generations, and not every code is documented publicly. We see codes in the field that aren't in any published list. Call us with the exact display string and the model and we'll work it out from our service log.
Most calls in Toronto and the immediate GTA get same-day on-site response when scheduling allows. Tell us the code and the model when you book and we'll bring the right parts on the first visit so the repair finishes the same day in most cases.
No. We're an independent service provider, not affiliated with Bellucci, and we work on machines outside the manufacturer's authorized network routinely. That independence lets us service older or out-of-warranty machines authorized networks may decline, and quote transparently every time.
Depends on the machine, the code, and the cost. We give you honest math on this. If repairs are starting to exceed roughly 50% of a refurbished replacement and multiple major systems are throwing codes, we'll tell you it's time to look at replacing rather than running up the repair bill.
If your machine is under the manufacturer's warranty, independent service may affect coverage depending on Bellucci's specific terms. Try the manufacturer's authorized network first. If their response is slow or they decline coverage for your code, call us and we'll service it on standard terms.
12 codes are documented above, organized by the system they affect. The list is compiled from manufacturer service literature, technician forums, and our own service log. We update it as new codes appear or firmware adds new states.

Walked us through a milk system rebuild while the tech was on-site. Now our team handles the daily clean properly and we haven't had a foam issue since.
We diagnose Bellucci codes by phone routinely. Same-day on-site dispatch if it needs hands on the machine.
