What does E-003 mean on an Enigma E'4?

E-003 is a motor timeout: the brew motor stalled or its position feedback stopped reporting, often from packed grounds under heavy use or a tired encoder. Don't keep retrying it, as forced starts can wear the drive. It needs the brew unit cleaned and inspected.

How often does an E'4 need descaling?

More often than the smaller Eversys machines, because it pours so much hot water. On harder water near its 900-cup rating, scale builds quickly, so we watch heat-up time and the machine's alerts and keep the filter fresh. An alert that won't clear after a full cycle usually just needs the counter reset.

How long do the burrs last on an E'4?
