Who repairs VKI coffee machines in the GTA?
We do, weekly. Grajqevci repairs VKI Eccellenza machines in offices, corporate campuses, and OCS fleets across the GTA, with the full list of coverage zones lower on this page. If your building runs more than one unit, one visit can cover them all.
Are you an authorized VKI or Keurig service provider?
No. We're independent commercial coffee technicians, and we'd rather say that plainly. It means we can work on out-of-warranty Eccellenzas, keep discontinued Vendking units alive, and quote from the actual work instead of a program rate card.
What's the most common VKI repair you see?
Grounds in the cup. The Reverse French Press chamber relies on a seal kit that hardens with age, and once the seals drag, the separation step stops holding back the spent grounds. A chamber strip-down with fresh seals and food-safe grease cures it, and it stays cured for another season of heavy use.
What does it mean when the brew chamber won't return home?
The chamber has stalled somewhere in its travel, usually from grind buildup on the walls or a seal dragging against the piston. The controller locks out brewing until the chamber confirms it's home, which is the machine protecting itself rather than failing outright. A power cycle sometimes frees it; if the fault returns, the chamber needs a proper clean and a new seal kit.
Can you fix the touchscreen on an Eccellenza Touch or Momentum Touch?
Yes, and most of the time without replacing the display. Frozen or laggy screens are usually firmware, cleared with a controlled reboot or a reflash, with your drink profiles backed up first. A genuinely failed digitizer or display module is a quoted part swap, not a reason to write off the machine.
How much does a VKI repair cost?
The visit and diagnosis are a flat rate you hear before we book anything, with parts billed at cost on top. Seal kits and sensors are modest money; a controller board or display is more, and you'll see the number in writing before we order it. If a fix stops making sense against replacement, we'll say so.
How fast can you get to a dead VKI machine?
Calls placed in the morning usually see a technician the same day, and later calls book the next business day. Tell us the model and what the screen says when you call: it decides which parts go on the truck and often saves a second visit.
Do you service OCS operators and machine fleets, or just single offices?
Both. A good share of our VKI work comes from OCS routes that need a local technician for accounts their own staff can't reach quickly. We'll work to your fleet dashboard, report what was done per asset, and flag the machines that are due before they fail.
Can you fix VKI telemetry that's stopped reporting to our dashboard?
Yes. The usual suspects are site network changes, a failed cellular module, or a unit that's dropped its registration. We test the module at the machine, re-register it to the fleet dashboard, and loop in your IT contact when the building network is the real culprit.
Are VKI parts still available now that Keurig owns the company?
Yes, and better than for most legacy brands. Brew chamber seal kits, grinder burrs, sensors, valves, and controller boards flow through Keurig Canada's VKI parts channel, including for many older models. The truly obsolete pieces we source from refurbisher stock, and we tell you upfront when availability is thinning.
Can you still repair old Vendking machines?
Usually, yes. Vendking is the earlier name for the platform that became Eccellenza, and a surprising number are still brewing in offices that see no reason to replace them. Consumables and most mechanical parts are still obtainable; where a controller is beyond saving, a conversion to current Eccellenza electronics is sometimes the smarter route, and we'll price both.
Is the Eccellenza Café still worth repairing?
Often, yes. The Café is a legacy model now, but it shares its brewing DNA with the current machines, so seals, sensors, and most wear parts are still serviceable. We'll give you a straight read on remaining life before you spend anything on a bigger fix.
What is the Reverse French Press, and why does it matter for service?
It's VKI's brewing method: ground coffee steeps in hot water, gets agitated, and is then separated from the finished cup, more French press than drip. The chamber that does this is unique to VKI, so a generalist technician usually hasn't serviced one. We have the procedure, the seal kits, and the test routine to put it back to spec.
How often does an Eccellenza need descaling on GTA water?
On Toronto-area municipal water, most office machines run two to four months between descales, and the machine tracks this itself from volume and hardness settings. Harder pockets of the region, York Region especially, sit at the short end. If the descale alert won't clear after a completed cycle, the counter or the hardness setting needs attention, not more descaler.
The filter alert is on but we just changed the filter. Why?
The counter doesn't reset itself; it has to be cleared through the service menu after every cartridge change. If it still won't reset, the controller isn't retaining the setting, which points to an EEPROM or backup-power fault. Both are quick to confirm at the machine.
How long should a VKI machine last?
Eight to twelve years with regular service is the realistic range. The two things that shorten that are scale on the heating side and a brew chamber run on dead seals, and both are preventable. We see plenty of ten-year Eccellenzas still pouring daily.
Why has the coffee from our Eccellenza gone weak or inconsistent?
Three usual causes: burrs that have drifted coarse, an agitator that's stopped stirring the brew chamber properly, or water coming up short of brew temperature because of scale. Each has a quick test, and none of them is expensive to put right. Weak coffee is a symptom worth calling about before it becomes a breakdown.
Do we need a service contract for the machines in our building?
No. We work call by call, and plenty of offices keep it that way for years. Buildings running several machines often move to a scheduled rotation eventually because it's cheaper than breakdowns, but that's your call to make after you've seen the work.
What should we do before the technician arrives?
Leave the machine plugged in if it's safe to, note what the screen showed when it failed, and don't run more cleaning cycles in the meantime. Clear a little counter space around the unit if you can. Everything else, including water and power checks, is our job when we get there.
Can your visit include showing our staff how to look after the machine?
Yes, and it happens by default on the way out. Most repeat VKI faults trace to skipped cleaning cycles, stale beans bridging in the hopper, or filter changes without the counter reset. Ten minutes with whoever owns the kitchenette prevents most of them.
