Pre-infusion solenoid failing
A failed pre-infusion solenoid. We replace it and verify the pressure curve.

Per-group temperature, honest
Lost a group on the Classe 11 USB Xcelsius, or watched the offsets refuse to save? We repair this Xcelsius platform for competition-grade and advanced cafe programs: per-group temperature reading out of range, scale around a group circuit, a USB board glitch dropping your saved offsets, weak steam. Tell us which group and what it's doing, and we'll bring the parts to restore it.
We'll get back to you today.

Rancilio · Specialty traditional espresso with Xcelsius group control
The Classe 11 USB Xcelsius adds Rancilio's Xcelsius per-group temperature control to the Classe 11 platform. Each group gets its own tunable setpoint, which is why competition-adjacent and advanced cafe programs spec it. The trade is more to calibrate: Xcelsius offsets are set and saved through the USB service board, and they have to be recommissioned after a firmware update. On the bench, drifted offsets, scaled group circuits, and the occasional board glitch are the Xcelsius work on top of the usual Classe wear.
Why Grajqevci
Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out. Most Rancilio Classe 11 USB Xcelsius jobs get diagnosed and fixed on the first visit.
Commercial coffee equipment is all we do, and Rancilio Classe 11 USB Xcelsius is one of the platforms we know best. Not a generalist guessing at a service manual. Genuine OEM parts, industry-standard procedures.
Flat rate for the visit, with parts billed separately. For bigger jobs you'll see a written quote on-site before we proceed.

Classe 11 USB Xcelsius faults we diagnose
These are the Classe 11 USB Xcelsius faults we see most, from drifted offsets to scaled group circuits, each with its cause and our fix.
A failed pre-infusion solenoid. We replace it and verify the pressure curve.
A worn group gasket. We back-flush, fit a fresh gasket, and check lock-up.
A clogged dispersion screen. We soak it in cafiza and replace it if worn.
Pump wear. We measure brew pressure, set the OPV to 9 bar, and replace the pump if it's below spec.
A clogged gicleur on one group. We pull and clean it ultrasonically, inspect the expansion valve, and check flow.
A chattering pressure stat. We replace it and confirm steady pressure.
On Classe 11 Xcelsius each group runs its own temperature circuit, so a drifted sensor or scale around the group jacket shows up as shot-to-shot variance. We test each NTC against a reference probe, descale the group circuit, recalibrate the offset in the USB service menu, and confirm stability across a 10-shot run.
A scaled element. We descale it, test resistance, and replace it if needed.
A scaled steam element. We descale the circuit and replace the element if it's drawing low.
We pressure-test the circuits and replace the weeping fitting.
A scaled level probe or a fill solenoid leaking past. We clean the probe and replace the solenoid.
A tired steam valve cartridge. We rebuild it with a fresh kit.
A scaled element. We descale the circuit and replace it if it's drawing low.
A USB board glitch or a service menu lockout. We reflash the board and restore the offsets from backup.
The flow meters have mineralized. We clean each one and reprogram the doses.
Steam migrating into the panel. We clean the contacts and replace the failed components.

Their tech caught a worn pump on a scheduled maintenance visit before it actually failed. That's the difference between maintenance and just servicing what broke.

Usually a USB board glitch or a service-menu lockout. We reflash the board and restore your offsets from backup, then confirm they hold through a power cycle. If the board itself is failing, the test points tell us.
The Xcelsius per-group circuit has drifted, usually a sensor or scale around that group's jacket. We test the NTC against a calibrated probe, descale the group circuit, and recalibrate that group's offset through the service menu. A short test run confirms it's steady.
Yes, and skipping that is a common reason a group reads wrong after service. After any firmware change the Xcelsius calibration has to be recommissioned. We do it as part of the job so you don't get a surprise drift later.
Xcelsius gives each group its own tunable temperature setpoint instead of a shared one, so you can run different profiles per group. It's why competition-adjacent programs spec it. The trade is more to calibrate, which is where servicing matters.
Not harder, just more to calibrate. It has the same multi-boiler bones plus the per-group offset work through the service board. Everything else, scale, gaskets, gicleurs, steam valves, is the same as the rest of the Classe range.
No, that's the steam side, not the group circuits. It's usually a scaled steam element or a tired pressure stat. We descale, test the element, and replace the stat if it's chattering, then benchmark recovery.
Yes. Once the Xcelsius offsets are calibrated we can set the per-group temperatures you want and save them through the service board. Tell us your target profiles and we'll dial them in and verify each group holds.
For a program that uses per-group temperature, yes. If you never change the setpoints, a standard Classe 11 USB does the job with less to maintain. We service both and can tell you honestly which suits how you actually work.
Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.
Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.
The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.
No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.
On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.
Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.
Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.
High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.
Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.
Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.
Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.
