Pre-infusion solenoid failing
A failed pre-infusion solenoid. We replace it and verify the pressure curve on a portafilter gauge.

Rancilio for specialty programs
A Classe 11 USB that's drifted off its dial-in turns a specialty program into a guessing game. We repair this platform on our regular cafe and roastery routes: per-group temperature wandering, a pre-infusion solenoid that won't fire, brew pressure off spec, a USB board throwing codes. Describe the symptom and we'll bring the parts and the service-menu know-how to set it right.

Rancilio · Specialty traditional espresso
The Classe 11 USB is Rancilio's specialty-tier machine, with per-group temperature control and refined electronics. There's no integrated grinder; you pair your own, which is how specialty cafes and multi-location programs want it. The multi-boiler build holds temperature per head for serious dial-in work. From the bench it rewards a technician who knows the USB service menu: group offsets, pre-infusion solenoids, flow meters, and the button bank are the parts that come up most.
Why Grajqevci
Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out. Most Rancilio Classe 11 USB jobs get diagnosed and fixed on the first visit.
Commercial coffee equipment is all we do, and Rancilio Classe 11 USB is one of the platforms we know best. Not a generalist guessing at a service manual. Genuine OEM parts, industry-standard procedures.
Flat rate for the visit, with parts billed separately. For bigger jobs you'll see a written quote on-site before we proceed.

Classe 11 USB faults we diagnose
Here are the Classe 11 USB faults that book service calls, from drifting group temperature to USB board codes, with the cause and the fix for each.
A failed pre-infusion solenoid. We replace it and verify the pressure curve on a portafilter gauge.
A worn group gasket. We back-flush, fit a fresh gasket, and check lock-up.
A clogged dispersion screen. We soak it in cafiza and replace it if it's dimpled.
Pump wear. We measure brew pressure, set the OPV to 9 bar, and replace the pump if it's below spec.
A clogged gicleur on one group. We pull it and clean it ultrasonically.
A chattering pressure stat. We replace it and confirm steady pressure.
A drifted sensor on one group. We test each NTC against a reference probe, descale the affected boiler, and recalibrate the offsets through the USB service menu.
A scaled element. We descale it, test resistance, and replace it if it's drawing low.
We pressure-test the circuits, dye-trace the chassis, and replace the weeping fitting.
A scaled level probe or a fill solenoid leaking past. We clean the probe and replace the solenoid.
A tired steam valve cartridge. We rebuild it with a fresh kit.
A failed temperature probe. We test it and replace it.
The flow meters have mineralized. We clean each one and reprogram the doses.
Steam migrating into the panel. We clean the contacts and replace the failed LEDs and microswitches.
We read the fault log through the USB interface and fix the root cause it points to.

On a specialty machine that usually means group temperature or pressure has shifted. We check per-group temperature against a reference, gauge brew pressure at the portafilter, and recalibrate offsets through the USB service menu. Once the numbers are back, the dial-in holds.
The pre-infusion solenoid on that group has likely stuck or its coil has failed, or the controller isn't signalling it. We test the solenoid and the controller output, replace the coil or assembly, and verify the pre-infusion curve on a gauge.
No. Like the rest of Rancilio's specialty range it has no integrated grinder, so you pair your own. When shots go off, though, a drifting grinder is the first thing we rule out before touching the machine.
The USB board carries a fault log and lets us read and set group offsets, pre-infusion behaviour, and dosing. A technician who knows the menu fixes the actual cause instead of swapping parts. That's the difference on a specialty machine.
Both are multi-boiler with per-group temperature, but the Xcelsius adds tunable per-group setpoints that are calibrated and saved through the service board. The standard Classe 11 USB has less to recommission. We service both, and the Xcelsius just has the offset work on top.
Mineral buildup on the flow meters is the usual culprit. We clean each meter, reprogram the doses by weight, and replace a worn meter before recalibrating. Persistent drift after that points to a controller issue, which we'd quote separately.
No. Steam migrating into the panel corrodes the contacts and kills the LEDs. We pull the panel, clean every contact, replace the failed LEDs and switches, and service the whole bank while it's open so it doesn't recur.
Almost always. It's a serious machine and most faults cost far less than replacing it. We give you the repair number and an honest read on remaining life so you can decide with real figures.
Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.
Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.
The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.
No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.
On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.
Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.
Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.
High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.
Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.
Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.
Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.
Call someone who knows the USB service menu, not a generalist guessing.
