The Cube is Sanremo's compact single-group machine, built on saturated dual-boiler hydraulics. It suits boutique cafes, high-end offices, and kiosks that want real specialty espresso without a full bar's footprint. The earlier Cube R paddle trim is the same machine to service. Leaking from the saturated group head is a worn head seal. We pull the group, replace the head seal and dispersion screen together, and pressure-test under brew load.
A pitted screen is oil baked into the mesh. We fit a new screen and backflush with detergent.
Low brew pressure is vibratory pump wear, the OPV, or the inlet screen. We gauge brew pressure and isolate the cause.
A noisy pump is air in the line or wear. We bleed the line and inspect the pump.
Unstable brew temperature on the Cube is brew-boiler PID drift or a sensor fault. We read brew water temperature with a Scace device, reset the PID, and replace the sensor if it is out of spec.
Slow steam recovery is scale or a drifting pressurestat. We descale, measure element resistance, verify the pressurestat, and replace the component at fault.
Pooling water is a seal, a line, or a blocked drain. We pressure-test the circuit and trace the leak.

We read brew water temperature with a Scace device, descale if needed, reset the PID, and replace the sensor when it is reading out of spec, then confirm the temperature holds across several shots.
For service purposes, yes. The earlier Cube R added a paddle trim, but the hydraulics, boilers, and wear parts are the same, so we cover both under the same vocabulary. If yours has the paddle, we check the needle valve and encoder while we are in there.
Yes, that is mineral buildup on the flow meter reading unevenly. We pull the meter, clean the impeller, confirm the pulse output, and reprogram each dose by weight against your ratio. A genuinely worn meter gets swapped, and the calibration usually holds the better part of a year.
Usually a seal, an internal line, or a blocked drain rather than anything dramatic. We pressure-test the circuit, dry the chassis, and trace the leak to the exact point before deciding whether to reseal or replace the fitting. Tight as the Cube is inside, finding the source is most of the job.
Around 120 shots a day is its comfortable ceiling, which is why it lands in boutique cafes, offices, and kiosks rather than high-volume bars. Pushed harder than that day after day, the pump and seals wear faster, and that is worth knowing before you place it on a busier counter.
It is worth checking. A noisy vibratory pump is usually air in the line or a starved inlet, but it can be genuine wear. We bleed the line, confirm the inlet feed, and inspect the pump, replacing it only if the output has actually fallen off. Ignoring it tends to end in low brew pressure.
