One station brewing weak, sprayhead clogged
Scale on one sprayhead while the other stays clear. We pull and descale both, then confirm a matched spray on each.

Mondo 2 down at the worst time?
Mid-volume office or restaurant running a Mondo 2 that's fallen behind? We repair these twin-station Bravilor brewers regularly. Both decanters draw on one tank, so when one side brews weak it's usually a clogged sprayhead or asymmetric scale, and when both lag it's the shared element or recovery. We descale, test, and get both stations matched again.

Bravilor Bonamat · Twin-decanter filter brewer
The Mondo 2 puts two decanter stations on a single 1.8-litre Bravilor tank. That shared tank is the thing to understand about it: two sprayheads, two warmers, and two brew valves all pull hot water from one source, so it brews up to thirty-six litres an hour as long as recovery keeps up. Offices and restaurants run it for parallel batches of regular and decaf. The faults are the Mondo's usual scale story, just doubled and sometimes lopsided when one station works harder.

Mondo 2 faults we diagnose
These are the Mondo 2 faults that book real service calls, each with its cause and the fix, including the ones that hit only one station.
Scale on one sprayhead while the other stays clear. We pull and descale both, then confirm a matched spray on each.
The diaphragm has worn on that side. We test both coils and replace the failed valve.
Element scale or under-spec recovery dragging the shared tank down. We descale, test the element, and verify recovery time under load.
Inlet solenoid or float at fault. We test supply pressure, actuate the solenoid, and replace the inlet seals.
Open element on that station, confirmed by a resistance test and replaced.
Stuck warmer thermostat. We replace it.
Spray pattern or grind off on that side. We verify the spray and adjust the grind.
Counter rarely reset after the last descale. We verify the cycle and reset it.
Scale on the float stem. We clean it or replace the float.
Element scale or thermostat drift. We descale and verify temperature against a probe.
Asymmetric spray between the two heads. We check and match both patterns.
Standard decanters are stocked. We replace it.
A station-specific switch or relay. We trace it and replace the failed part.
Scale on the probe surface. We clean it or fit a new one.
We source through Bravilor's network or refurbisher inventory, and flag it early when a part runs scarce.

That's almost always asymmetric scale, with one sprayhead clogging faster than the other. We pull and descale both heads so they match again, then confirm an even spray on each. We balance both sides rather than just the weak one, so they stay matched.
Usually it's not the tank, it's scale on the element slowing recovery so the shared tank can't refill hot fast enough. We descale, test the element, and verify recovery time under load. If recovery is genuinely below spec after that, we tell you.
Yes. A worn diaphragm on one station drips while the other is fine. We test both coils to confirm which valve has gone, then replace the failed one. No need to touch the healthy side.
That station's warmer element has gone open. We confirm it with a resistance test and replace it. While we're in there we check the warmer thermostat so it isn't running the replacement too hot.
Different spray patterns between the two heads, usually from uneven scale. We check and match both patterns so each station extracts the same. It's a common twin-station complaint and a quick one to put right.
Running a descale doesn't reset the counter on its own. We confirm the cycle actually ran, reset the counter through the service menu, and check the hardness setting so it times the next alert correctly.
It's usually worth it. The two sides share a tank and scale at a similar rate, so the second station is often not far behind. We'll tell you honestly whether the healthy side needs attention or can wait.
The fast movers ride with us: sprayheads, valve diaphragms, elements, warmer thermostats, and decanters. That clears most Mondo 2 calls in one trip. Less common parts are ordered, usually for the next business day.
Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.
Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.
The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.
No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.
On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.
Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.
Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.
High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.
Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.
Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.
Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.
