Mondo Twin lost a side?

The GTA's go-to for Bravilor Bonamat Mondo Twin repair.

High-volume kitchen leaning on a Mondo Twin? We repair these two-tank Bravilor brewers week to week. The whole point of the Twin is its two separate tanks: each has its own element and brew valve, so a fault on one side shouldn't stop the other. We find the failed element, valve, or probe on the affected tank and bring the second station back.

Bravilor Bonamat · Twin-tank filter brewer

The Mondo Twin.

The Mondo Twin runs two separate 1.8-litre tanks side by side, each with its own element and brew valve. That redundancy is why high-volume restaurants and caterers choose it over a shared-tank brewer: if one tank's element opens or its probe scales over, the other keeps serving while we fix the first. It brews up to thirty-six litres an hour, and because the two halves wear at their own pace, our job is usually to bring a lagging side back in line with the other.

FAQ

Bravilor Bonamat Mondo Twin, frequently asked.

20 answers covering service, repair, parts, installation, warranty, and edge cases.

Updated August 2026

One tank on my Mondo Twin is slow to recover. What's wrong?

Scale on that tank's element, slowing how fast it reheats. We descale the affected side and test its element, leaving the good tank alone. The point of the Twin is that one slow side shouldn't take the machine down, and after service both recover evenly again.

An element burned out on one of my Mondo Twin tanks. Can you replace just that one?

Yes. Each tank has its own element, so we confirm the open element with a resistance test, replace it, and verify that tank's thermostat. The other tank keeps working throughout, which is the advantage of the two-tank design.

One Mondo Twin tank isn't filling. Where do you start?

On the inlet solenoid and level probe for that tank. We test supply pressure, actuate the solenoid, and clean the probe if scale is making it misread full. We replace whichever part has actually failed.

The two tanks on my Mondo Twin produce different coffee. Why?

Asymmetric spray or scale between the two sides. Because each tank and sprayhead is separate, they can drift apart as they wear. We check both sides and even them out so the two stations match again.

A warmer plate on my Mondo Twin stopped heating. Is that a big job?

No. It's an open warmer element, confirmed by a quick resistance test and replaced. It's separate from the brew side, so it doesn't affect how the tanks run.

Why won't the descale alert clear on one Mondo Twin tank?

The counter for that tank wasn't reset after the last descale. We confirm the cycle ran end to end, reset that tank's counter, and check the hardness setting so the next interval is timed correctly.

Is the Mondo Twin worth keeping over a single-tank brewer?

For high-volume sites, yes. The redundancy means a fault on one tank doesn't stop service, and most repairs touch only the affected side. We give you an honest read on the machine's condition so you can plan around it.

Do you carry Mondo Twin parts on the van?

The common ones ride with us: elements, brew valves and diaphragms, level probes, thermostats, and decanters. That handles most Mondo Twin calls in a single visit, with anything unusual ordered for the next business day.

How much does a repair visit cost?

Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.

How fast can you get here?

Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.

Which areas do you cover?

The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.

Do I need a service contract?

No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.

Are the repairs warrantied?

Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.

Do you repair on-site or take the machine away?

On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.

How do I book a service call?

Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.

What happens on the first visit?

Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.

Do you carry parts or order them in?

High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.

My machine is older or out of production. Will you still look at it?

Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.

Are you cheaper than the manufacturer's service network?

Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.

Can you train our staff so this doesn't happen again?

Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.
