Do you actually repair Marco machines across the GTA?
Yes. Marco brewers are a regular part of what we service across GTA cafes, restaurants, hotels, and office coffee programs, and we usually have an SP9 or a batch brewer on the bench or a van out at one. Toronto is the densest stretch of the route, and the coverage list further down this page shows every zone we reach.
Are you authorized by Marco?
No, and we say so plainly. We're an independent commercial coffee equipment specialist, which lets us work on out-of-warranty machines, keep older Marco units running after the dealer network moves on, and quote against the actual work rather than a factory pricing book.
Why does my Marco heating element keep failing?
Almost always scale. Hard local water bakes mineral onto the element until it can't shed heat, so it runs hotter to compensate and eventually trips the high-limit or opens. We replace the element, descale the boiler properly, and size filtration to your volume so the next one lasts. Without conditioning the water, a fresh element just scales up again.
What's the most common Marco service call you get?
On the batch brewers it's a scaled boiler and sprayhead, showing up as weak coffee and slow recovery between batches. On the SP9 it's brew-chamber seals and temperature drift, since that machine is built around holding temperature inside a degree. Both trace back to water and wear, so we fix the symptom and deal with the cause.
How fast can you get to a Marco that's down?
Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out, and later calls book for the next business day. Cafes and breakfast services with no coffee at all get moved up the route.
How much does a Marco repair cost?
Flat rate for the visit and diagnosis, which you hear when you book, with parts billed separately on top. Many Marco parts, like sprayheads, dispense valves, and probes, are inexpensive and ride on the truck. For anything larger you get a written quote on-site before we proceed.
What Marco parts do you carry on the truck?
The high-wear ones: SP9 brew-chamber seal kits, sprayheads, dispense valves and solenoids, elements and thermostats, level and temperature probes, and Friia filter cartridges. That covers most calls in a single visit. Controller boards and model-specific assemblies are ordered per job, usually next-day.
Can you fix an SP9 that's lost its brew profile or drifted off temperature?
Yes, that's core SP9 work. We measure brew temperature at the dispense outlet against spec, recalibrate the profile to a refractometer reading where you're dialing in, and replace a drifted probe if the temperature won't hold. If programming dropped after a power event, we restore it and replace the backup source so it sticks.
Do you service Marco's batch brewers like the JET6 and BRU?
Yes, the JET6 Single and Twin, the BRU F45M and F60M, and the QwikBrew and MaxiBrew machines are all routine for us. The platform is shared, so most calls are scale, a tired brew valve, an element, or a server that's lost its insulation, and the common parts come along on the first visit.
Can you fix a ColdBRU or POUR'D cold-coffee system?
Yes. ColdBRU pairs brewing with refrigeration, so we handle chiller faults, filter media, and steep-timing drift alongside the usual valves and seals. POUR'D and POUR'D Touch we service for dispense calibration, pulse profiles, sprayhead scale, and the touchscreen. Refrigerant work is always quoted before we start.
Do you offer emergency service for restaurants and hotels?
We prioritize sites that are dead in service, like a hotel with no breakfast coffee or a cafe mid-rush. Tell us the situation when you call and we'll route the nearest technician. Evening and weekend windows can be arranged case by case for operations that can't lose daytime service.
How often should a Marco brewer be serviced?
On hard local water, plan on a descale and sprayhead or chamber service every three to six months, depending on volume and whether you run filtration. High-throughput sites without a filter need it sooner. We set an interval that matches your water and your cup counts.
Do I have to sign a maintenance contract?
No. We work call by call, and plenty of customers put us on a regular schedule only after they've seen the work. It's your choice, never a requirement.
Are your Marco repairs warrantied?
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault comes back, call us and we'll review it. The specific terms are discussed upfront on each job rather than promised in marketing copy.
Can you sort out water filtration for a Marco setup?
Yes, and on hard local water it's the single best thing you can do for a Marco. We size a cartridge or softener to your brew volume so scale stops chewing through elements, valves, and boilers. Filtration usually pays for itself in the parts you don't replace, and on precision machines like the SP9 it protects the temperature accuracy too.
Can you still repair an older or discontinued Marco?
Usually, yes. We service legacy Marco brewers and boilers that other shops turn away, with elements, probes, valves, and most sprayheads still available through Marco's distribution. For a discontinued controller we source from refurbisher stock or, where the wiring allows, convert to a current Marco module that keeps your existing hardware.
When does it make sense to replace a Marco instead of repairing it?
Less often than you'd think, because most Marco parts are a small fraction of the machine. We call it when a boiler or chassis is corroded through, or when an obsolete board can't be sourced or converted. You get the math and the honest read on remaining life, and you make the call.
My Marco is still under manufacturer warranty. Can you work on it?
We can, but if the fault is covered, Marco's own channel should handle it at no cost, and we'll tell you that on the phone. Much of what actually goes wrong, scale damage, worn seals, and water-related faults, sits outside most warranties, and that's the work we take on.
We run several locations. How does multi-site Marco service work?
One point of contact, one schedule, and one invoice format across every site. We keep notes per machine, so the technician arrives knowing each brewer's history. Chains tell us the consistency is what they value most: the same hands on every Marco.
How do I book a Marco service call, and what should I have ready?
Call us or send the form on this page. Have the model and any code or message on the display, plus a quick description of the symptom. That lets the technician load the likely parts before heading out, so most calls finish in one visit.
