Specialist help for the rarer BL

Brasilia BL-300 repair without the wait. Same-day across the GTA.

Not every technician has even seen a BL-300, which is exactly why operators find us. We repair it with the same playbook as the rest of the B16 family: probe-verified group temperatures, fault codes read properly through Fixing Control, pre-infusion solenoids tested, wands and cleaning cycles put right. Rarity shouldn't cost you uptime.

Brasilia · Current/documented traditional espresso machine

The BL-300.

The BL-300 sits in Brasilia's current documentation beside the BL-500, sharing the same B16 platform. The family hardware is all present: B16 groups fed by the Bullone Rosso pre-heat circuit, a stainless dry-steam boiler with three-level thermosiphon regulation, electronic pre-infusion, Cool Touch wands, and capacity rated to 700 shots a day. It behaves like its siblings on a service call, so the fault patterns and parts are already familiar territory.

BL-300 faults we diagnose

BL-300 faults we see, and the fixes.

The BL-300 inherits its fault patterns from the shared B16 platform. Below are the ones that book service calls, with cause and fix.

Electronics, grinder & other 5 issues
!

B16 brewing unit thermal stability drift

Scale in the Bullone Rosso pre-heat circuit or a thermosiphon out of calibration is what sets the B16 group drifting. We probe each group's brew temperature at the portafilter, descale the circuit and thermosiphon, and re-dial the set points through the touchscreen.

!

Touchscreen unresponsive or fault code on display

An unresponsive screen or a code on the display is Fixing Control doing its job, since every code maps to a subsystem. We read the code, prove the diagnosis with a probe before any part is swapped, and reseat the controller-board cabling while the panels are off. Most of these calls land after the third year.

!

Electronic pre-infusion not engaging on one group

Per-group electronic pre-infusion depends on a solenoid and the controller signal behind it, and either can quietly quit. Testing both points straight at the failed component, which we replace, then the timing is set back to the operator's target profile.

!

Auto-Cleaning cycle failing or incomplete

An Auto-Cleaning cycle that won't finish usually means low cleaning chemical or a blank that isn't sealing in the portafilter. We sort both, then supervise a full cycle with the controller readout up, watching for any code that points deeper.

!

Cool Touch steam wand losing thermal insulation

When a Cool Touch wand starts running hot, milk residue has usually breached the internal thermal break. We disassemble and clean the wand, inspect the insulation, and fit a new assembly where the break has failed.

Don't see your issue? Call (289) 217-3796 with a description of what's happening and any error codes on screen. We'll likely diagnose it before we arrive. And if the same fault keeps returning, that's scale at work. The right Brasilia water filter ends the repeat visits.

FAQ

Brasilia BL-300, frequently asked.

20 answers covering service, repair, parts, installation, warranty, and edge cases.

Updated August 2026

Can you still get parts for the Brasilia BL-300?

Yes, more easily than its low profile suggests. The BL-300 shares the B16 platform with the rest of the BL family, so gaskets, screens, seals, and most wear parts are common stock. Model-specific panels and boards come through the Italian channel, and we tell you the lead time before you commit.

What does the fault code on my BL-300 display mean?

It's a Fixing Control code, and each one maps to a specific subsystem. We read it, confirm the diagnosis with a probe before swapping anything, and reseat the controller cabling while the panels are off. The code starts the diagnosis; the measurements finish it.

Why are my BL-300's shots coming out at inconsistent temperatures?

Scale in the Bullone Rosso pre-heat circuit or the thermosiphon is the usual cause on the B16 platform. We verify each group with a calibrated probe at the portafilter, descale what the readings implicate, and re-dial the set points through the touchscreen.

How different is the BL-300 from the BL-500 when it needs service?

Barely, and that works in your favour. The two share the B16 brewing platform, the pre-heat circuit, and the same broad fault map, so the diagnosis and most parts carry straight over. If a technician knows one, they know the other.

Pre-infusion quit on one group of my BL-300. What usually fails?

Either that group's pre-infusion solenoid or the controller signal driving it. Both are quick to test at the machine, and we replace whichever has failed rather than guessing. The timing then goes back to your preferred profile.

The steam wand on my BL-300 isn't staying cool. What's wrong?

The Cool Touch design relies on an internal thermal break, and milk residue that penetrates the assembly degrades it. We strip the wand, clean and inspect the insulation, and fit a new assembly if the break has failed.

Is the BL-300 built for heavy daily volume?

Yes, it's rated up to 700 shots a day on a stainless dry-steam boiler with three-level thermosiphon regulation. As with any machine run near its rating, wear items come due faster, so the bars that get the best out of one stay ahead of gaskets, screens, and scale.

Why does my BL-300's Auto-Cleaning cycle keep failing?

Low cleaning chemical or a blank that isn't sealing in the portafilter causes most failures, with weak inlet pressure a distant third. We correct what's slipped and supervise a complete cycle, watching the controller for any code that points deeper.

How much does a repair visit cost?

Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.

How fast can you get here?

Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.

Which areas do you cover?

The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.

Do I need a service contract?

No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.

Are the repairs warrantied?

Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.

Do you repair on-site or take the machine away?

On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.

How do I book a service call?

Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.

What happens on the first visit?

Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.

Do you carry parts or order them in?

High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.

My machine is older or out of production. Will you still look at it?

Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.

Are you cheaper than the manufacturer's service network?

Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.

Can you train our staff so this doesn't happen again?

Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.

Your Brasilia BL-300 deserves a specialist.

Rare model, familiar platform, and a technician who has serviced both.
