One sprayhead scaled faster

Twin thermal dispensers at peak
When the CBS-62H-30 drops a station, the highest-volume coffee line you run loses half its output mid-event. We repair this twin thermal-dispenser brewer regularly: one heater tripping on scale, a single station's brew valve failing, warmers that quit, and cross-station faults. Tell us which side and we fix it on-site, the heavy-use parts loaded.

Fetco · High-volume twin thermal-dispenser brewer (6.0 gal)
The CBS-62H-30 is Fetco's twin-station thermal-dispenser brewer, the heaviest in the line. Two separate 4kW heater stations brew into two LUXUS dispensers in parallel for 25-plus gallons an hour combined. Convention halls, stadiums, and the biggest banquet operations run it where one station cannot keep up. On the bench the twin layout means faults isolate to one side, scale, a worn valve, a warmer element, while the two stations wear at different rates because one usually carries more of the load.

CBS-62H-30 faults we diagnose
These are the CBS-62H-30 faults that book service calls, with the cause behind each and how we resolve it on a twin.
The busier station scales faster, so one head fades first. We descale both and verify each pattern.
A brew valve that won't open is a failed coil or worn diaphragm. We isolate it electrically and replace the valve.
Strength drifting on one side is bypass seat wear there. We measure the split, reset it, and replace the cartridge if needed.
One cool tank is element or thermostat trouble on that side. We descale, test, and replace as needed.
Slow fill on one side is the inlet or probe on that circuit. We test both there and replace whichever is at fault.
A weak or tripping element is scale insulation. We descale and replace the element if it doesn't recover.
Overflow comes down to a grind or filter that doesn't suit the batch. We check both against spec and adjust until the bed drains properly.
Staggered descale alerts are normal on a twin, since the busier side scales faster. We descale both and recommend upstream softening.
A drip from the sprayhead at standby is the brew valve diaphragm leaking past its seat. We replace the diaphragm and seat, then confirm the head stays dry at standby pressure.
A station-specific fault tells us which side. We identify it and replace the failed part.
Scale on the probe makes the level reading wander. We descale it and replace it if it stays erratic.
A drifting thermostat is sensor wear. We compare it to a reference and replace it if it is out.
Heat loss on one warmer is a worn element on that station. We replace the affected element.
A dead warmer plate is a failed switch, thermostat, or element. We test each and replace the one that is gone.
Cross-station behaviour is a wiring or relay fault linking the two sides. We isolate it and repair or replace as needed.

On a twin, faults isolate to one circuit, so a dead station points at that side's heater, valve, or probe. We descale and test the affected station, replace the failed part, and leave the working side brewing while we do it.
The busier side scales faster, so its element loses heat first, or that side's thermostat has drifted. We descale the affected tank, test the element and thermostat, and replace whichever is out of spec.
Yes. A dead warmer is a failed switch, thermostat, or element on that station. We test each and replace the one that has gone, without touching the working warmer.
That dispenser's dispense seal or lid gasket is worn. We replace the seal kit and gasket on the affected unit and pressure-test its vacuum. If the chamber is breached, we recommend replacing that dispenser.
Every two months is realistic at this throughput on hard local water, and the two sides usually alert at different times. We descale both, reset both counters, and recommend a softener sized to the combined volume.
Yes, cross-station behaviour is a relay or wiring fault linking the sides. We isolate it electrically and repair the wiring or replace the misfiring relay.
Repairing, in nearly every case. It is a major high-volume machine, and the common failures, elements, valves, warmers, dispenser seals, are a fraction of replacement and usually isolated to one side. You get the math and decide.
Yes. Both stations and both LUXUS dispensers are serviceable in place, so we descale the tanks, replace heater and valve parts, rebuild the dispenser seals, and test both sides right where it stands.
Flat rate for the visit, parts billed at their actual cost on top. You'll hear the rate when you book, and for bigger jobs we quote in writing on-site before any work starts. No estimate that balloons mid-job.
Same-day. Call in the morning and a technician is usually on-site before the day is out; calls placed later in the day book for the next morning. Urgent breakdowns get priority routing.
The GTA and most of the Golden Horseshoe: Toronto through Mississauga, Vaughan, and Markham, out to Oshawa, Hamilton, and Niagara. If you're not sure you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight.
No. We work call by call. Plenty of customers put us on a maintenance schedule eventually, but that's their choice after seeing the work, never a requirement.
Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, and we stand behind our labour: if the same fault recurs, call us and we'll review it. Specific terms are discussed upfront on each job, not promised in marketing copy.
On-site whenever possible, which is most of the time. If a job genuinely needs the bench, like a full boiler rebuild or major electronics work, we'll say so before anything leaves your building.
Call us or send the form on this page. We confirm the machine, the fault, and a time window the same day. If it's urgent, say so and we'll route the nearest technician.
Diagnosis first: we confirm the fault, tell you what caused it, and quote the fix before touching a wrench. Most repairs finish in that same visit because the common wear parts ride on the truck.
High-wear parts for the platforms we service constantly ride on the truck. Anything else we order, usually next-day where suppliers allow, and we tell you the lead time before committing you to anything.
Usually, yes. We service legacy machines for as long as parts can be sourced, and we're honest when a repair stops making financial sense against a replacement. You get the math, you make the call.
Often, but that's not the pitch. We quote against the actual work, not a factory pricing book, and we'll tell you when a manufacturer warranty claim is the better route. Transparency is the value; the price usually follows.
Yes, and we do it by default on the way out. Half of repeat faults trace back to skipped daily cleaning or wrong routine, so the technician walks your team through what actually matters before leaving.
