Who repairs Schaerer coffee machines in Toronto?
We do, constantly. Schaerer is one of our highest-volume platforms, riding along in QSR kitchens, convenience stores, hotels, and office floors from Hamilton around to Oshawa. The coverage list further down this page shows every zone, and Toronto sits in the densest part of the route.
Are you an authorized Schaerer service partner?
No, and we'd rather tell you that than imply otherwise. Grajqevci is an independent commercial coffee equipment specialist, which means we quote against the actual fault instead of a program price book, work on out-of-warranty machines without hesitation, and keep supporting models after the official channel retires them.
What's the most common Schaerer fault you see?
Milk, by a clear margin. BestFoam is a precise system, and milk residue in the foam chamber, a tired intake spring, or a blocked air pathway will flatten the foam long before anything mechanical complains. Brew unit jams and the 60-series boiler codes round out the top three, and all three are usually fixed in one visit.
What do Schaerer error codes 60 to 65 mean?
They're the boiler fault family: 60 and 61 are coffee and steam boiler temperature faults, 62 is a heat-up timeout, 63 is a pressure fault, and 65 covers the separate hot water boiler where fitted. The usual culprits are a failed temperature sensor, scale insulating the element, or the element itself wearing out. Our error-code guide covers each one, including what's safe to try before calling.
Why is the milk foam on my Schaerer weak or gone?
Almost always residue. The BestFoam system depends on a clean pathway and an exact air-to-milk ratio, and a film of dried milk or one worn O-ring is enough to collapse the texture. We strip the milk side, sanitize it, replace the worn rubber and springs, and leave your team with a daily clean routine that actually prevents the repeat.
My Schaerer's cleaning cycle won't finish. Is that serious?
It's worth taking seriously, because the machine will start restricting drinks until a cycle completes. The stall is usually a level sensor misreading, exhausted cleaning chemical, or a blockage in the cleaning circuit; on ProCare machines an interrupted cycle can also leave the software in a locked state. We find the stall point and stay until a full cycle runs through.
What's the difference between the Coffee Soul and the Coffee Soul C?
Same 250-cup platform, different generation. The C adds ProCare automated cleaning with its own chemical cartridges and CoffeeLink telemetry that reports cup counts and faults to a portal. For repairs the core machine is familiar, so neither version waits longer for parts; the C just adds the cleaning circuit and network side to the checklist.
Do you still service the Schaerer Coffee Prime, Vito, or Barista?
Yes. All three have left Schaerer's current lineup, but the installed base across offices and hotels is large and we keep it running. Parts come from regular channels where they still exist, and from refurbisher networks and donor machines where they don't. If a repair stops making financial sense, we say so before you spend anything.
How long does a commercial Schaerer machine last?
Ten to fifteen years with consistent service, and the cleaning routine decides which end of that you reach. Milk hygiene and scale are what retire these machines early, and both are preventable. We look after Schaerer units well past the ten-year mark that still pour all day.
How much does a Schaerer repair cost?
The visit and diagnosis are a flat amount you hear when you book, with parts billed at cost on top. Small jobs like O-rings, springs, or a sensor stay small; bigger ones like a brew unit overhaul or a boiler element get a written quote on-site before any work starts. No number balloons mid-job.
Can you get to a broken Schaerer the same day?
Usually, yes. Calls placed in the morning typically see a technician before the day is out; later calls book for the next morning. A convenience store with one machine and no backup gets treated like the emergency it is.
Do you carry Schaerer parts on the truck?
The high-turnover ones ride along: brew unit seals and gaskets, BestFoam O-rings and intake springs, milk hoses, common sensors, filter cartridges, and cleaning chemicals. That stock closes most calls in one visit. Displays, pumps, burr sets, and boiler components are ordered per job, usually landing within a business day or two.
Is Schaerer the same company as WMF?
They're siblings, not the same machine line. Schaerer has been part of the WMF Group since 2006, and both now sit under Groupe SEB, but Schaerer machines are their own platform built in Zuchwil, Switzerland. We service both brands, so a site running a mix doesn't need two service companies.
Is my Schaerer worth repairing, or should I replace it?
Run the math before assuming replacement. These are expensive machines, and most of what fails (seals, springs, sensors, even a brew unit overhaul) costs a small fraction of a new unit. We give you the repair quote and an honest read on remaining life; when replacement genuinely wins, we say that instead.
Can you fix a frozen Schaerer touchscreen?
Yes, and most of the time without new hardware. The 7 to 12-inch displays on these machines mostly freeze on firmware hangs, which clear with a controlled reset or a reflash from a known-good image. A genuine digitizer or display failure is a part swap, not a reason to write the machine off.
Can you repair the iced drink system on the newer Schaerer machines?
Yes. The Coffee Art C and Soul-generation iced programs chill drinks through a dedicated circuit, and when iced drinks start going out warm the suspects are a drifting thermostat or a compressor losing capacity. We test the circuit's output temperature and quote exactly the component that failed.
How often does a Schaerer need descaling on local water?
Most of the GTA's lake-fed supply is moderately hard, which puts a busy machine on roughly a three-month descale rhythm; harder pockets like York Region and Hamilton shorten it to two. The machine schedules its own descales if the hardness setting matches reality, so we verify that setting on every visit.
Can you work with CoffeeLink telemetry on our machines?
Yes. When CoffeeLink stops syncing the cause is usually network drift or a stale device certificate rather than the machine, especially after an IT change on site. We verify the gateway, refresh the pairing, and confirm faults flow through to the portal again before we leave.
We run a 24/7 store. Can you service the machine outside business hours?
Often, yes. Evening and weekend slots exist precisely for sites that can't lose their counter during the day, and they're arranged case by case when you book. Tell us your quietest window and we'll aim the visit at it.
Can you look after Schaerer machines across all our locations?
Yes, multi-site work is routine. One contact, one booking process, and a per-machine report after each round so your operations team sees the whole fleet at once. Fleets also surface patterns: when three sites share the same fault, the water or the cleaning routine is usually the real cause, and fixing that saves you the fourth call.
